This piece isn’t intended to be an image of a real orchid – it was really an accident which produced the birdlike shape of the centre section, so was born Bird Orchid. Timbers used are English Yew for the toadstool, Lignum Vitae for the side panels of the centre ‘bird’ section, the white wood I can’t remember. The stamens are in Meranti.
